Megan – Senior Portrait Session

Megan selected my “Personality” package for her senior portraits and this allowed us enough time for several changes of outfits and to split the session between studio and location. As is often the case, Megan came to my studio a little self-conscious and wary of having her picture taken. Fortunately, I’m pretty good at getting people to relax in front of the camera and we were able to capture many excellent images.

Iona + Jon Wedding

Iona and Jon’s wedding was a timing challenge. Jon is in the military, stationed on the East coast, and was awaiting confirmation of his leave. Iona and family were doing their best to plan the wedding without knowing the actual wedding date. A little stressful! With a little over two months to spare, there were finally able to nail down a date and proceed with securing a venue and putting together all the final details.

Kayla’s quinceanera

Kayla’s quinceanera from last June. Ceremony was at St. Paul the Apostle church in Chino Hills. What a lovely church and campus. This was a smaller ceremony, so we did it in one of the side prayer rooms off the main chapel. There was a skylight above the altar that provided nice, soft light into the the room. I wanted to capture that, so I shot as much as I could without a strobe and just natural light. After the ceremony, we used several locations on the church campus for other shots.

Gennie + Christopher Wedding

Gennie and Chris’s wedding was planned completely over the phone and through email. The first time that I actually met the couple face-to-face was on their wedding day. A little stressful, but I discovered quickly they were both great people and easy to work with so everything went well. Their ceremony was in a nice traditional church in Yucaipa. I loved the soft lighting and tried to utilize that rather than blast everything with a strobe. After the ceremony, we moved to the reception at Highland Springs Resort in Cherry Valley.

Both Gennie and Christopher work in law enforcement, so they came up with this unique cake-top. I love the pistols that the two figures are holding and that they’ve got each other’s back.

Sometime during the reception, Gennie ditched her high-heels in exchange for her comfortable Converse high-tops. I really liked the dichotomy of her elegant wedding dress paired with the dirty tennis-shoes, so I made sure to feature this in a couple of pix.

Amy + Tim Wedding

Amy and Tim’s wedding took place at the Lindley-Scott House in Asuza. Beautiful location with lots of photo settings to take advantage of. It was kind of a gray, overcast day and the wedding couple was worried that this would effect the pictures. Fortunately, I was able to reassure them that the weather was perfect for photography. We were able to get lots of great shots, both indoors and outdoors. The whole family was great and it was the kind of wedding celebration that you didn’t want to end.

Wylee + Tyleese Wedding

Wylee and Tyleese’s wedding took place at Green Mountain Ranch up in Lytle Creek. What a beautiful setting! Tucked into the foothills, it was a fun collection of rustic buildings and well-kept grounds. Wylee and Tyleese are both avid cowboy/western fans and participate in shooting competitions. As a result of this, their entire wedding was done in cowboy theme where everyone (including the offiant) were decked out in full cowboy garb. It was a good time for everyone!

Stephanie – Senior Portrait Session

Stephanie chose my deluxe two hour package, but elected to do the whole session in my studio. With this type of session, I typically treat like a modeling/portfolio. We do a lot of different poses and outfit changes which gives them time to relax and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Stephanie has beautiful eyes and I tried to capture that in the pix.

Dee C. family portrait – Laguna Beach

Dee and her family met me down in Laguna Beach for a family portrait session. Beach sessions are sometimes a risk because the weather (especially in the fall) can be so unpredictable. It was dark and overcast when I left Corona to meet them, but upon arriving in Laguna the weather completely changed and we had perfect blue skies and a beautiful sunset to work with.

Christa + Chris Wedding

Christa and Chris’ wedding took place at Tivoli Too in Laguna Beach. Nice setting and beautiful ceremony. The sun set during the course of the ceremony and we took advantage of the night lights for some great pix.

Iona + Jon Engagement Session

Engagement session for Iona and Jon. Jonrdan is in the United States Army and we had to dance around his military leave schedule a little to do their engagement session. Once we all landed in the same time-zone, we were able to meet up at Hillcrest Park in Fullerton for an excellent photoshoot. Hillcrest Park is a fun place to shoot, offering lots of different settings. Iona and Jon were super easy to work with and we got plenty of pix to choose from.
